The kids and Doug in front of our camper. The kids playing in the fall leaves. There sure were lots on the ground - and on the trees. It was beautiful.

We went camping on Sunday after church. We headed up to Brown County. It was beautiful - peak season for the leaves. We went hiking after we set up on Sunday, cooked dinner and then enjoyed the fire by making smores. On Monday morning we got up and doug took me to the exit - so I could get picked up on the way to teacher's conference in Indy.

Doug, Emily and Michale enjoyed the park for Monday and Tuesday. They hiked, went horseback riding, rode bikes, went to the Nature Center, and just enjoyed the outdoors. They also learned a little about fire safety - both kids got burned on the fire ring while "playing" with the fire. they also wittled their hiking sticks - did well, except Emily cut her finger a little. Out door fun was great.

What a fun way to create some fall memories.

I almost forget how beautiful fall can be in the midwest...almost.
